Restaurant Ten-22 helped raise more than $5,000 for Big Brothers Big Sisters! | Food and Drink

Big Brothers Big Sisters partnered with Ten-22 restaurant to generate funds for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Sacramento and help kick-off the new spring menu at the popular Old Sacramento eatery. The promotion was an astounding success, generating $5,000 for Big Brothers Big Sisters in just four days.

From Sunday April 10th through April 13th Ten-22 restaurant donated 15% from lunch, dinner and drinks from all patrons – no special flyer or coupon necessary.

This event marked the first partnership of what will soon be a full-blown Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Sacramento restaurant program called, “Dine and Donate.” Big Brothers Big Sisters is constantly seeking out new ways to shine light on the organization, as well as continuing to take an active roll in many community events from bowling fundraisers (Bowl for Kids’ Sake) and partnering with like-minded nonprofits to put on events with real impact (Walk N’ Rock for Kids’).

The $5,000 generated for Big Brothers Big Sisters from Ten-22 will increase the number of youth matched with positive adult role models.  Studies show that the kids in the program perform better in school, are less likely to get involved with drugs and alcohol, have increased levels of self-confidence, and have better relationships with their families and peers.
